Sarbari I SHP

Sarbari - I Small Hydro-Power Plant is a run of the River project on Sarbari river, a tributary of beas. The project is located about 14 Kms from Kullu town of Himachal Pradesh

The salient components of the project are trench weir, 100 meter de-silting tank, 2.5 Km long tunnel, 650 meter penstock, 2 X 2.5 MW Pelton turbines with asociated equipment.

The power is evacuated on a 33KV overhead line and supplied to Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board.The commercial operation of the plant commenced on 17th May 2008.
